Writers4Peace wanted a unique design and an easy-to-use back-end for an online literary magazine. They wanted a real magazine feel, with a unique table of contents for each edition which divided the content into sections for poetry, music, essays, fiction, and photography. We used WordPress with lots of custom templates, and extensive use of TTFTitles.
They were interested in having a logo design which made dominant use of a modern St. Michael as the site was for a creative writing group at St. Michael’s University School in British Colombia. To that end, we took the classic image of St. Michael slaughtering demons, did some tweaking and added paint splatters and drips. They were so happy with the result they wanted a variation done for a t-shirt design.

This was a really exciting project for us, giving us a chance to play with some awesome textures and grunge effects and use a bunch of our favorite fonts. And since this was for a literary magazine with multiple contributors, we wrote up a sort of quick-start guide to make it easy for them to get started posting new content.
Customer feedback: [Arcane Palette was] on schedule, responsive to my requests, and incredibly creative with their ideas and suggestions. Communication was always ongoing and to the minute and their design capabilities went beyond my expectations. I would highly recommend them with the confidence that my reference is well deserved.
